The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is also famous from a short name GATE. The GATE is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. The GATE is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IIT's. These all seven IIT's is IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.
